The J. Sargeant Reynolds student art exhibit awards ceremony was Wednesday (the 18th). I placed second in the drawing category (due to mixed media and drawing being combined). Unfortunately, none of the photography I entered on behalf of CatsPaw Digital Photography placed, but three pieces of it sold: Strange Waters, Flying Rodent, and... I forget what the exact title of the picture of Hoover that sold was. The display will be up until the end of the semester, however, so there is still hope for "Fragment of Time" and the ten other unsold pieces as well.
Skull Alphabet Book, my college that won second in the drawing category also sold, although in retrospect I wish I had placed a higher price on it.
The art show video is posted on facebook and will end up posted somewhere in the artistic section as well as soon as I decide whether it counts as an expedition video or something else entirely. Just to note, the musical credits at the end of the video are slightly in error; the closing music is a few seconds of a song by Psychic TV (Dark Moon, or something that sounds similar), and I discovered later that that song was left out of the credits.

It would be wrong to say that I agree with the judges as far as which pieces did or did not win, especially photography (what a huge surprise) but that's hardly anything new or surprising.
In other news, CatsPaw digital Photography's first quarter horse show is Sunday the 28th, so the pre-show pictures will be up by then along with (hopefully) the first of the CDP comics, which will go on the 'empty page' in the artistic photography section. Show pictures will be up, in theory, on or before May 5th.
